Zehus Bike+, from Milan, is the current all-in-one on this catalogue: 250 W, about 173 Wh, rear wheel, no downtube pack. Superpedestrian’s Copenhagen Wheel and the BionX hub are here because they were fitted in large numbers and then discontinued. The pages stay so a wheel already on a bike can be named.
What you gain
- The bike’s silhouette stays a bicycle.
- No external pack to lock, or to mount on a small frame.
- Removal is a wheel, which matters in a walk-up flat.
- The street class is usually 250 W, because that is what fits in the hub with a useful life.
What you give up
173 Wh is a short tank next to a 500 Wh downtube pack. You will not add a second brick in the bottle cage and call it the same system. Weight is in the wheel, so the bike tracks calmly and flicks more slowly. When the generation ends, the spare is a specialist part, not a generic 36 V pack from a listing.
Service means the whole wheel. Do not open a sealed hub because a video made it look easy. Identify the generation first, which is what the discontinued records are for.
Figures are the ones published on the kit page. Specification research is not labelled as a hands-on test.
