Batteries, chargers, and how a notice would move

London Fire Brigade warns that poorly installed conversions and incompatible components can increase fire risk, and recommends the manufacturer-recommended charger and professional conversion support.

  • Do not approve a battery because the voltage looks similar.
  • Do not approve a battery because the connector fits.
  • Do not approve a battery because a seller says universal.
  • Do not approve a battery because another owner says it worked.
  • Do not approve a battery because an adapter is on sale.
If a pack is swollen, hot, damaged, hissing, or smells sharp or sweet, stop using it and follow fire-service advice. This site will not give steps for opening or repairing cells.

Recalls

A recall stays attached to the configuration it names. The working rule is: verify the source, identify the configuration, show a warning, pause the shop link if needed, and keep the history.

Report a concern

Reports are kept with the configuration they name. Urgent reports are triaged the same day.
